AP Calc AB/BC Unit 6 Review Intro
Welcome to the sixth unit of AP Calc! You’re already more than halfway done. Congrats on making it this far, don’t give up now! This unit is all about introducing what an integral is. The squiggly line used as notation for integrals may seem intimidating, but they’re easier than expected to understand. Have fun learning and let me know at loopsofkindness@gmail.com or any of our social medias if you have any questions or concerns. Learn more and get ready to achieve a 5 on the AP exam and an A+ in your class with the following carefully curated resources below!
1. Review Presentation
The first item on our list of great resources covering AP Calc Unit 6 is a Canva Presentation I recently made that goes through every single topic in the Unit as outlined by the CED (Course and Exam Description by CollegeBoard). Each topic includes a slide with a summary of essential concepts and a slide with a worked example from Khan Academy or Flipped Math. I wouldn’t recommend studying only off these slides, but they’re a great review when you want a quick refresher on the basic concepts!
(+) Good refresher with worked practice problems following the CED
(-) Surface level review; more practice required
2. Flipped Math
Good old Algebros. You know them, you love them, they’re a fantastic resource!
(+) Organized according to the CED, AP Style Questions, lots of practice; packets for note-taking
3. Paul's Online Math Notes
Paul’s Online Math Notes is a treasure trove for helpful Calc notes and explanations beyond surface-level ones. However, it is not organized for the AP Calculus curriculum, so it might be more annoying to get the topics that you want to study. Here I have organized a small list of AP Calculus Unit 6 lessons on Paul’s Online Math Notes.
(+) Amazing, high-quality explanations that go more in-depth
(-) Harder to get the lessons that you want
3. IITian Academy
An unknown resource with real AP-style questions, IITian Academy offers MCQs and FRQs for all AP Calc topics. It’s particularly useful if you have run out of other practice questions and want some harder ones, just like the AP Classroom quizzes/progress checks. This website also offers a ton of other reviews for AP subjects (It’s saved me in AP Bio multiple times). I recommend this website for students who already know what they’re doing and want extra difficult practice similar to what the AP exam will ask.
(+) Actual AP Questions organized by the CED
(-) Answers are not explained thoroughly sometimes; only practice questions
4. Loops of Learning Tutoring
Learn from students just like you who have gotten an A in AP Calc throughout the year! Sign up through this link for further information on getting tutored for free, 100% online.
